this is also in the Michaelerkirche - one of those gothic statues - but..... do you notice anything different about it?

It is a wonderful effect. I noticed the eyes right off, but not the lips. Beautiful idea!
I didnt know this was considered as gothic.

With these eyes the statue becomes truly the master architect explaining the building plan to his fellows on the blackboard. I bet he has a pair of compasses in his hand. A nice specimen of freemasons' sculpture. Thanks fos sharing!
